2013 Christmas Card

It's been way too long!  What's a better way to re-enter the blogging world than with our Christmas card, so here goes.

Many things stand out when I reflect on this past year, but football is the one that has consumed most of our time.  With football on the brain, it’s hard to think about anything else.  I even find myself thinking about our kids and their personalities in terms of a football game.

JoJo is a cheerleader.  She is always so encouraging,  always telling Blane and Collins when they’ve done something good.  Ever encouraging, but also so very confused.  Jo is to common sense as a cheerleader is to knowledge about the game of football…She just doesn’t have it.  I’m going to go out on a limb here and say she gets her common sense from her daddy.
“1st and 10! Let’s go!….Wait, are we on offense or defense?”

Collins is our little fair weather fan.  She is the happiest, silliest little girl…as long as EVERYTHING is going her way.  And if things aren’t going her way, you had better walk away.  She can go from the fan yelling “Great job boys!” to the fan yelling “We need some new plays coach!” in just a matter of seconds.  Just like the fans at a football game, it doesn’t take much to change her mood.  As long as you throw perfect passes, hit hard, and NEVER fumble the ball, you will stay in her good graces.  I’m afraid I have to take the blame for this one.
Blane is an offensive lineman.  He’s smart enough and has the arm to be the quarterback, but judging from his build he may have to “put his hand on the ground” when he’s old enough to play.  He is as tough as nails and not afraid to sacrifice his body to make a good play.  He can talk with the best of them, but he does more grunting and pushing than anything.  From his looks to his personality, he is just like his daddy!

Go Bulldogs!

2013 has been a great year for our family, and we are excited about spending the rest of it celebrating Christmas.
